Exactly one week ago, I (and friends) almost died under terrible Bangkok heat.
Just to see the DongBang boys for 15 minutes.
Incoherent spazz and bad spelling/grammar ahead. I'm still nursing a fever. T_T
The 3rd Asia Tour "Mirotic" Concert in Bangkok Presscon
June 26th, 2009
Central World Open Grounds, Bangkok, ThailandAfter checking in at Dusit which will be our home for 3 nights, we rode the BTS to Siam Station then walked the long walk to Central World. It's easy locating the stage as there were too many fans holding up fan signages and there's the Yamaha booth playing it's jingle non-stop.
baby_jin went ahead to Central World and saved us seats and when we arrived, she left to go do some shopping. Fans were in their full battle gear, wearing support shirts and holding support banners. I bought this as souvenir:

We were lining up in peace, even eating KFC chicken burgers we bought as take-out when fans rushed in front, almost creating a mini-stampede. It felt like KLIA 06 all over again. Damnit.
It's 16:47 BKK time and we're waiting under airless Bangkok heat amidst the pushing of the crowd, some pushing back, some pushing forward. We were caught in the middle of a popstar-hungry mob and there were some ridiculous rude Thai fans asking us to sit down. Why should we, when all they did was sit down, then stand-up, then sit down again. I'm on the heavy side so sitting down, as much as my feet would appreciate it, was not an option. We opposed to their reasoning that all the fans will sit down if we sit down (we're not DBSK, those fans will not follow us! and hell, those fans around can't even understand us, how the eff will they follow us?) so we stood our ground that we will continue standing, to hell that we will have to wait for almost 3 more hours just to catch a glimpse of the boys. When fans around you (lots of students) fainted one by one, you can't help but feel disheartened.

Fans came by, adding number to the already hundreds/thousand in the open grounds, singing chant songs, entertained themselves and watched pseudo-DBSK boys dancing to O and Mirotic songs. It was disheartening and not even my wide experience of fangirling in several Asian countries can match that shit we're in. It was a death trap. I must've called all saints and cursed DBSK too much during that time. I was positive I can survive it but I have friends and it was really touching that we were holding hands, tagging each other. **sniff sniff** POWER HUG!!! xD
When the host came back, left and came back again, chants grew louder, pushing grew harsher. We were stuck and can't go out. Security were giving water and hauling out girls left and right as they fainted, then 5 or more will be joining the mob. When screams grew the loudest, the video wall registered 5 faces I was longing to see since November of 2007. I was too far from them. At least a thousand of fans away from them. Shit. My make-up was all erased and I already sweat-ed badly. Darnit. x_X
jhing_tearjerky,
glovezz and I were pushed further back when DBSK said their usual crowd greeting (introducing themselves as if we don't know who they are!). We've lost sight of
eyecatcher_101 (she's celebrating her 25th birthday that day!),
baby_jin was nowhere in sight and
moonstruck2133 &
gracie_grace were together. Good thing we agreed to meet up at the Starbucks across the street after the event so I can focused on the task at hand: seeing the DBSK boys in the flesh. With a thousand fans between us.
I was short and there are taller fans in front of me, with their arms and cameras raised up high I can't see anything anymore. I jumped a bit to see each of them. One look, saw Yunho (ARMSSSS!!!!). Another look, saw Changmin (I noticed his hair OMG CHANGMIN-AH WHAT HAPPENED?!?
WHY DO YOU LOOK LIKE JOSE RIZAL?!?) Another look, saw Jaejoong (OHNOES that glasses again, I wanna see his eyes. And his bangs all over his face again! Pfft!). Another look, saw Yoochun (dazzling in all-black and OMONA HE CUT HIS HAIR♥_♥). Last look, saw Junsu (oh WAI DOES HE LOOK SO SERIOUS? Is Bangkok heat getting on him? Junsu!!!). I was able to take a video of them but here's the most recognizable and complete screencap I got from that video:

I scanned all five faces again and I asked
jhing_tearjerky if she wants to go over the fence now (the easiest way out) so we can still take one closer look at the boys before they leave the stage. She said yes and off we go. The security had difficulty hauling us up (we were both a bit on the heavy side. LOL!) so that bought us a second or two to see the boys clearly waving on stage. Other fans must've realized our tactic so they followed suit but no, the guards allowed none of it anymore. xD

We stayed at the side after the press people seeing DongBang boys' back and they went down the stage to their van. Then a sea of people swarmed to their van, security had problem shooing them away.

The boys left for rehearsals (from what I was told). We hurried to Starbucks to rest and spazz a bit before going back to Dusit to rest more and go grab some dinner (there are fans waiting on the lobby but we were so starving to stay). It was a very long day already but we all reminded ourselves that it's just the start of things to come. x_X
